As you may have guessed from most of the content on this blog, I am living and teaching English in South Korea. I have moved to Gwangju, a city in the South of the peninsula. My boyfriend and I have come on this adventure together and thanks to the EPIK Orientation, we have made some close friends to explore Korea with.
I was unsure about the decision to move to Korea originally and it has been a massive life change for me. There have been many moments of uncertainty and a lot of nerves. I wanted to write this blog to shed some light on the experience and what life in Korea is really like. This was one of things I struggled with when trying to make my decision to move.
Having never been to Korea, I just could not imagine what it would be like. Hopefully, this blog will give a little insight for those considering the move to Korea (or anywhere else) into what moving abroad is like. I hope the blog will show the opportunities living abroad opens up, some of the challenges and the wealth of experiences available if you go for it.
Enjoy.
